Do you cancel your wedding ceremony if it rains too hard?

Rain on your wedding day in Cancun can be a disappointment, but it doesn't have to ruin your special day. Here are some tips on how to make the most of a rainy wedding in Cancun:

  1. Have a Plan B: It's always a good idea to have a backup plan in case of bad weather. This could be a covered area at your venue or an indoor location nearby. Make sure to discuss this with your wedding planner and venue ahead of time.
  2. Embrace the rain: Rain can add a romantic and dreamy element to your wedding photos. Consider taking some photos outside in the rain, with the help of clear umbrellas, or even a wedding photographer with a rain cover for their camera.
  3. Bring extra umbrellas: Provide your guests with clear umbrellas to keep them dry. This will not only keep them comfortable but also make for some great photo opportunities.
  4. Incorporate rain into your decor: Use rain-inspired elements in your decor such as umbrella centerpieces or raindrop-shaped candles. This will add a unique and fitting touch to your rainy day wedding.
  5. Indoor options: If the rain is too heavy, consider moving your ceremony indoors. Many venues in Cancun have beautiful indoor spaces that can be just as stunning as an outdoor ceremony.
  6. Have Fun: Remember, it's your wedding day! Whether it's sunny or rainy, it's still a celebration of your love. Don't let a little rain dampen your spirits. Dancing in the rain, or have a moment of fun with your spouse under the rain.

Ultimately, a rainy wedding in Cancun doesn't have to be a disaster. With a little planning and creativity, you can make the most of the situation and create a memorable and romantic day for you and your guests.

From July to October in Riviera Maya is hurricane season. What would you do if it rained during your wedding? Well that's what happened to Brandie during her wedding.

However, it is very important to have a good attitude. Brandie chose the Dreams Tulum for her wedding and the Dreams Tulum hotel is one of the most beautiful resorts in the Riviera Maya.

During the morning we saw Brandie who was happy even though she had already been told that it might rain, but she showed a very good attitude.

Just as the bride was entering her wedding ceremony at the Dreams Tulum Hotel, a thunderstorm began to approach and within minutes it was raining so hard that we literally got completely wet.

When the officiant said "You may now kiss the bride" the sun came out and gave us a chance to take a few clicks with the sun.

Brandie & Brigham told me "Nothing is going to stop us from enjoying our wedding day" and it's true, keeping a good attitude made the whole family happy enjoying Brandie & Brigham's wedding at Dreams Tulum Hotel.
